Compass Coaching Project
June 3-15 & July 29-August 10, 2019
This program holds a magnifying glass to the artists’ current position in the profession and offers help to navigate their way toward one’s personal goals. The coaching focuses on the individual need of each dancer and breaks down the intricacies and challenges of attaining a more efficient technique through a variety of tools in both classical and contemporary dance. In addition to analysis during the classes, CCP offers classes in Alexander Technique, Movement Therapy, and Anatomy. CCP artists will have the opportunity to work on repertoire from such iconic choreographer as Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Crystal Pite and more. During the two-week project each artist will have the opportunity to privately meet with Walsh and Manley to discuss goals and strategies. The project culminates with a showing including new creations.

By going beyond familiar methodology of dance and posing new questions each artist is supported to invent weather one is an aspiring choreographer or simply wants to contribute more profoundly as a dancer.

Private coaching and creations
I have taught company classes, private classes, coached variations and created works for dancers around the globe and still enjoy assisting in a dancer's growth. Here is Aran Bell of American Ballet Theatre with with me on a solo I created for him in Napels, Italy in 2013.

Efficient Dance Training
Over the years as a dancer and Instructor one of the most important discoveries was efficiency. How to approach the many facets of this intricate art form, is what can provide a career longevity and health as well as a more mindful and interesting relationship with the art. Later in my dancing career I discovered a wider range of teaching theories as well as tools such as Alexander Technique and Titus Motion Therapy. In this 3 hour workshop we spend time to break it down.
